Eric Chu, DDS, MS
Dr. Eric Chu is a Board Certified Periodontist and Bay Area native - attending Mills High School in Millbrae. Dr. Chu has been practicing in Mountain View since 2001, is certified to deliver conscious sedation, and is a Silicon Valley pioneer of LANAP Laser Periodontal Therapy. He is an alumni of U.C. Berkeley receiving degrees in Biology and Economics. Dr. Chu attended dental school at UCLA and received his Periodontal Certificate and Masters Degree from UCSF. Dr. Chu is a former President of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society and a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Santa Clara Dental Society and Western Society of Periodontists.
Eric and his wife Liza have 3 young children. An avid sports fan, Dr. Chu loves his 49ers and San Francisco Giants.
Frank Riccoboni, DDS, MS
Dr. Riccoboni has been practicing Periodontics at his current location for the past 35 years. Raised in the Mountain View/Los Altos area, he graduated from St. Francis High School and then earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University. He subsequently attended Loyola University Dental School in Chicago where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1979, his Master's degree in Oral Biology and his Postgraduate Certificate in Periodontics in 1981. For his achievements, he was awarded membership into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Alpha Sigma Nu national dental honor societies.
Dr. Riccoboni is certified to administer sedation and currently is on staff at El Camino Hospital. He is an active member of the following local and national associations:
- American Academy of Periodontology
- American Academy of Osseointegration
- California Society of Periodontology
- Mid-Peninsula Dental Society
- Santa Clara Dental Society
- Northern California Academy of Dental Research
Dr. Riccoboni practices all phases of periodontal therapy utilizing the most current technologies and has been placing dental implants since 1991.
On a personal note, Dr. Riccoboni is married to his wife Judy, and has two daughters, Lindsay and Lauren. He enjoys outdoor activities especially and golfing and fly fishing.
Irene Louie, DDS
Dr. Louie was born and raised in San Francisco where she attended George Washington High School. She attended UCLA for her undergraduate degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics.
Dr. Louie received her dental degree from UCSF and her Periodontal Certificate from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland.
She’s an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, and Western Society of Periodontists. Outside of the office, Dr. Louie enjoys spending time backpacking outdoors, cooking, and traveling.
Liza Batallones, Vice President and Director of Marketing
Liza Batallones is a Bay Area native who spent her childhood in Vallejo and attended San Francisco State University majoring in Speech/Mass Communications. Liza is widely recognized for her Emmy-award winning work as Traffic Anchor for KPIX TV, Channel 5 in San Francisco. Liza has enjoyed a decades-long career on the air in both radio and television.
In addition to her duties at Mountain View Perio, Liza works as a Public Relations and Communications Manager for Samaritan House, a nonprofit serving low-income residents in San Mateo County. A devoted community volunteer, Liza is a member of the National Charity League, a national mother-daughter service organization. Liza is also on the Advisory Board for Project Giving Kids, a technology nonprofit connecting kids with worthwhile charitable projects. She enjoys hiking, coaching AYSO soccer and exploring our beautiful Bay Area with her husband Eric and their 3 children.
Esmeralda Castaneda, Financial Administrator and Office Manager
Esmeralda V. Castaneda brings more than 20 year experience in dental field as a Registered Dental Assistant/Office Manager.
She holds an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Biology, Chemistry and Engineering from De Anza College in Cupertino and a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.
Esmeralda enjoys volunteering her time for nonprofit programs such as CDA Cares and Give Kids A Smile. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 kids and traveling.
